OCMC Mission Sunday (Sep 22nd Tuesday)

Dear Holy Trinity Parishioners,

During the difficult months of the Covid-19 pandemic, many wonderful events have been cancelled or adjusted.  Our Mission Sunday Event, usually held in September, when we would welcome a visit from one of the many wonderful missionaries of the Orthodox Christian Mission Center (OCMC), is one of these events that has been impacted.  During the event, our Holy Trinity parishioners would have the opportunity to meet our visiting missionary guest, as they share the wonderful work they are planning to do, where they have been assigned.  This year is no different for the missionaries, as they prepare for their journey, except that they cannot visit parishes, in person, and have had to adjust.  We ask you to join us for the virtual meeting, lending our support and encouragement to our visiting missionary guest.  We look forward to a wonderful response from Holy Trinity parishioners.

Christ is Risen! Truly He is Risen! Χριστος Ανεστη! Αληθος Ανεστη!

We pray that everyone is staying safe and well during this difficult crisis due to the coronavirus.

Our prayers are with those who are ill, their families, and with all the medical staff who are at the frontline of this fight.  We also remember all those who have fallen asleep in the Lord, during this time.  May their memory be eternal.  As we continue to be in lockdown, we are thankful that Holy Trinity continues to stream services online.  Thank you to Athena Sacco and Niko Psilopoulos.

Revised Patriarchal Directive

Dear Holy Trinity Parishioners,

I have learned from some of our parishioners that in Greece people are all praying from their homes at the same time for fifteen minutes.

From 4:00 p.m. (our time) to 4:15 p.m. people are praying before their icons or using their prayer ropes and asking God to bless the whole world.

I would encourage us to do the same so that we can all be united in prayer at the same time.

Thank you,

Father George
