This Thanksgiving, please consider some small ways to help those in need:

  • Shop Rite Gift Cards: available for purchase in dominations of $50 and $100:
    • Purchase for yourself or share as gifts this holiday season.
    • In addition, your support helps fund Gift Card donations made to those in need. Father George spearheads this initiative.
  • Holiday Turkey/Ham Non-Perishables Collection:
    • Donate your Turkey/Ham or non-perishable items.  As in years past, we are working together with our GOYA: these items are collected and delivered to the Food Bank of Atlantic County. “BUY A GIFT CARD(S) AND HELP OTHERS!”

Selling Shop Rite Gift Cards is a Philoptochos Fund Raising Initiative to help support the charitable needs of our community.

How it works:  For every $100.00 dollars sold, Philoptochos earns $5.00.  Cards are available in $50.00 and $100.00 increments.  Buy one or many.  Keep for yourself or gift.  Pay by cash or check. If by check please make it payable to    “Holy Trinity Philoptochos”

St. Elpida Philoptochos Sisters’ Memorial Service.

Sunday, September 26th, 2021

following the Divine Liturgy Service at 9.30am.

Our Holy Trinity Church is holding a St Elpida Philoptochos Sisters’ Memorial Service for our dearly beloved and respected Presviteres, our mothers, grandmothers, great grandmothers, wives, sisters, daughters, aunts, and friends, who have fallen asleep in the Lord.  We hope you can join us as your loved one’s name will be read.  Please let other family members know as well.

On behalf of Father George, our Philoptochos President, Maria Marinakis, and the St. Elpida Philoptochos Sisters, we invite you to join us, to commemorate their wonderful memory, and afterwards for refreshments and fellowship.

May their beautiful memory be eternal.

Opening Prayer.

Blessed are you, O Lord, teach me your commandments. Give rest, O God, to your servants and place them in Paradise, where the choirs of the saints and the just, O Lord, shine like stars. Give rest to your servant who has fallen asleep, overlooking all their transgressions.

Closing Prayer.

For you, O Christ our God, are the resurrection, the life, and the repose of your departed servants, who have fallen asleep, and you we glorify together with your eternal Father and your all-holy, good, and life-giving Spirit, now and forever and to the ages of ages. Amen.
